Pembroke, MA — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Sandbox Medical have voluntarily recalled about 6,000 pacifier clips for choking hazards. The CPSC product recall was announced on May 3, 2011.
The product recall was issued after discovering that the clip can break apart, which poses a choking hazard to young children.
“This recall involves the Cheaper Keeper pacifier clip that attaches a pacifier to a child’s clothing. It is a clear plastic clip secured by a pink ribbon with a velcro closure,” reported the CPSC press release.
Consumers are advised to contact Sandbox Medical for a free replacement pacifier clip, until then parents should throw the defective clip away.
