Ocean City, NJ—A construction accident sent two people to the hospital after scaffolding collapsed while they were papering the side of a duplex house Thursday afternoon, November 18, 2010. Emergency crews were called to the scene on the beach block of 81st street at 1:14 p.m., as reported by Cape May County Herald.

The workers, who were identified as Eddie Velasquez, 32, and Marco Pacheco, 24, were reportedly papering the side of the duplex, which was under construction, when a chain that secures the scaffolding snapped. The workers plummeted 22 feet to the ground below.
The workers complained of chest and back pain and a result. One worker appeared to have broken both of his wrists.
A full investigation into the accident is underway. It is unknown if the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be conducting an investigation as well.
