Atlanta, GA—A teenager was beaten to death at a house party in metro Atlanta late Saturday or early Sunday, November 7, 2010, prompting officials to arrest four other teens in connection with the brutal attack. Authorities stated the teens, ages 18 and 19, face one felony count of murder each, as reported by CNN.

According to Lt. Bruce Ferguson with the Douglas County Sheriff’s office, one of the teens involved told his friends that he planned on hitting the next person he saw.

That person happened to be 18-year-old Bobby Maurice Tillman, whom Sheriff Phil Miller described as a “little guy, 18 years old, 5-foot-6, weighed 125 pounds.”

Though Miller contended Tillman did not provoke the attackers, “They beat him up and stomped him and killed him.” Ed Stephens witnessed the deadly assault from his bedroom window, stating, “I just thought he was hurt. I never thought that his life was ending.”

Police arrived at the home where the party was taking place early Sunday morning. According to Ferguson, the mother of the girl who hosted the party reported the beating to officials. A total of 57 witnesses were subsequently taken in for questioning.

The four teens facing murder charges related to the attack were identified as Horace Damon Coleman, 19, Emanuel Benjamin Boykins, 18, Quantez Devonta Mallory, 18, and Tracen Franklin, 19.

Investigations are underway.
