Jackson Hole, WY—The bodies of a Twin Cities man and his three sons were recovered from a mountainous area of western Wyoming Tuesday, November 2, 2010, more than a week after the family was involved in a deadly plane crash. Rescue operations began at 7 a.m. Tuesday, ending approximately 10 hours later, according to information provided by the Star Tribune.

Reports indicated Minneapolis pilot Luke Bucklin, 40, and his three children, identified as twins Nate and Nick, 14, and Noah, 12, departed from Jackson Hole on October 25. Shortly after doing so, however, the plane Bucklin was piloting crashed as they on their way home from a vacation in Wyoming.

According to Fremont County Coroner Ed McAuslan, “The extrication of the bodies went quickly… The complete autopsy report, however, will not be available for at least four to six weeks as we await results of toxicology and other tests.”

McAuslan alleged he would release the plane crash victims’ bodies to Lander-based Hudson’s Funeral Home on November 4, so the family can make funeral arrangements.

Authorities from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are expected to conduct a full investigation to determine what might have caused the four-fatality plane wreck.
