New York– New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s daughter, Georgina Bloomberg was knocked unconscious while competing in an equestrian competition in upstate New York on Friday, November 5, 2010, as reported by CBS News.

Georgina Bloomberg was reportedly knocked unconscious when her saddle “unexpectedly came loose and slipped” while she was taking a jump at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament.

According to witnesses, Georgina was able to walk from the ring after she regained consciousness. She underwent a medical evaluation, which determined that she suffered a concussion and fracture to her spine.

Georgina reportedly didn’t go to the hospital until the next morning when she had back pain.

She is apparently undergoing tests to determine the extent of her injuries.
