Washington, DC—A deadly motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a car and van resulted in one fatality and left six others, including four children, injured. The brutal head-on crash occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C., at approximately 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, as reported by MyFoxDC.com.

According to information provided by eyewitnesses at the scene of the fatal wreck, a van was speeding along the 3600 block of Alabama Avenue when it veered over the center median and into the path of an oncoming Toyota Camry. On impact, the van overturned several times and burst into flames. The motor vehicle accident prompted a fuel spill and knocked utility wires down as a result.
