Los Angeles – Actor Richard Dreyfuss has filed a lawsuit against his father and uncle over repayment of a 20-year-old loan. As reported by Good Morning America, the actor, who’s starred in films such as Jaws and Mr. Holland’s Opus, is suing his family members again, after filing a similar suit in 2008.
Dreyfuss is reportedly seeking the dissolution of a business partnership and compensation for a $870,000 loan that was purportedly used for a purpose other than what it had been requested for.
As noted in the report, the lawsuit is quoted by the Courthouse News Service as asserting, “Norman and Gilbert essentially have kept Richard in the dark about the Partnership’s finances. They are now taking positions contesting the amount of Richard’s interest and the amount of his financial contributions.”
