Kosciusko County Sheriff alerts Indiana automobile accident attorneys-A two-vehicle rollover seriously injured four teenagers.
Kosciusko County, IN—Four Pierceton teens are in critical condition at Parkview Hospital following a rollover crash. The two-vehicle crash happened on Tuesday morning, October 6, 2009 around 8:00 a.m., on Indiana 14, as reported by WSBT.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, two vehicles driven by Paul Nadolski, 19, and Garret Vande, 18, were traveling on Indiana 14, when a van driven by Jarrod Lewis, 17, pulled out in front of them from County Road 700. Vande was following Nadolski when both of the vehicles tried to pass the van. Nadolski then lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway; Vande continued on down Indiana 14. As Nadolski’s vehicle veered back onto the roadway, he collided with the van, which caused both of the vehicles to rollover and eject several passengers. The occupants of the van, Charles Shepherd 16, Austin Striggle, 15, and the driver were all seriously injured.
Lewis was reportedly flown by emergency medical services (EMS) teams to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne in critical condition. Both Striggle and Shepherd were also transported by EMS teams to Parkview Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. Nadolksi was transported by EMS professionals to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Vande fled the scene of the crash, and was later found at his home by police officials. Vande was given a blood test, and police officials are awaiting the toxicology report to determine if drugs and alcohol were a factor in the wreck. Police officials already believe speed was a factor in the rollover. The serious automobile crash is currently under investigation by the Kosciusko County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team.
