Wisconsin personal injury attorney’s alert- A bus rollover injures 20 Special Olympics athletes from Fox Valley.

Juneau, WI—A tour bus transporting 20 adult Special Olympics athletes overturned while en route to Appleton from a competition in Nebraska. The bus rolled over on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 3:30 a.m., on Highway 151, as reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Investigators say it is unclear how the bus rolled over, but they speculate the driver of the bus lost control and crashed into the guardrail on the northbound lanes of Highway 151. The bus reportedly skidded nearly 250 yards then rolled over onto its passenger side. All 20 passengers aboard the bus were transported by emergency response service (EMS) crews to various area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One passenger was seriously injured and was airlifted by a medical helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. The driver of the bus was transported by EMS personnel to Fond du Lac hospital where he is receiving treatment for internal injuries he sustained in the rollover. The Special Olympic athletes are reportedly from Fox Valley and are members of the golf and softball teams.
