D4D Technologies, LLC, a US company based in Texas, confirmed today that it has filed a lawsuit in federal court against Medit Corporation, a South Korean company.
Richardson, TX September 22, 2022 –(PR.com)– D4D Technologies, LLC, a US company based in Texas, confirmed today that it has filed a lawsuit in federal court against Medit Corporation, a South Korean company. Speed, 3D digitizing of objects mainly used in connection with dentistry and orthodontics. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, Waco Division. The lawsuit seeks monetary damages and injunctive relief.
D4D Technologies, LLC is not the only company to have filed a US patent infringement lawsuit against Medit Corporation. In early July, 3Shape A/S also confirmed the filing of a federal lawsuit alleging patent infringement against Medit on similar grounds, although the technology patented by 3Shape A/S differs from that developed and patented by D4D Technologies, LLC.
Regarding the alleged infringement, Tammi Carter, CEO of D4D Technologies, LLC said, “The scanner digitizing technologies developed by D4D Technologies, LLC were the result of a tremendous investment of time and money by our company and its employees. We simply cannot allow other companies to copy our hard-earned technologies, infringe our patents, and distract customers. We filed the complaint against Medit Corporation to protect our company’s investments in these technologies.”
D4D Technologies, LLC alleges that certain Medit intraoral scanner systems, including the i500 and i700, infringe a number of D4D Technologies, LLC patents. The patents currently asserted in the lawsuit filed by D4D Technologies, LLC against Medit Corporation are US Patent Nos. 7,342,668 and 7,978,892.
