Metaplatforms Inc. META is being sued for finding a workaround apple inc‘s AAPL Data protection regulations introduced in 2021, Bloomberg reported.

What happened: Two owned by Meta FacebookUsers of have filed a class action lawsuit in San Francisco federal court alleging the company built a “secret bypass” to defeat Apple’s 2021 privacy protections, the report said said.

Meta’s actions also violated state and federal laws restricting the unauthorized collection of personal information, the plaintiffs reportedly said in the complaint.
