non-profit healthcare organization Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City, Utah) and SCL Health (Broomfield, Colorado) merged into one organization.

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, with regional offices in Broomfield and Las Vegas, the new company will become the 11th largest not-for-profit health system in the United States upon closing, operating 33 hospitals in seven states, including 1 Virtual hospitals and 385 clinics.

While the organization will be named Intermountain Healthcare, SCL Health’s Catholic hospitals will retain their distinctive Catholic names and continue to operate in accordance with existing practices.
