So I don’t know, I never have and will never have children. I really wish my womb would disappear in a weird magical accident and I would never have to face the fear of getting pregnant or creating a little one again. However, for all of you lovely people who have or want to have children, do you need to quit smoking? No, not really. There is actually an entire online community of parent stoners. Considered a healthier and more appropriate alternative to drinking for many, it is an easy way to stay calm and reduce stress without losing control, and many parents smoke a cigarette now and then to stay sane. Obviously, we’re talking about drug use, so you probably don’t want to sit around your little ones smoking. You also don’t want to get mad at babysitting because I’ve heard they’re fragile. So, how can you continue to smoke marijuana and still be a good parent? I looked around on the internet and this is what everyone said.

Weed vs.booze

Since weed is still illegal in many parts of the world, people may look down on weed-smoking parents more than drunk parents. Stoner’s stereotype is unfocused, aloof, and definitely inappropriate for childcare. A lot of this has to do with having some tokens and a completely paralyzed image. However, the reality is that many people use cannabis both medically and recreationally to cope with the stress of everyday life. In fact, few people experience anxiety more often than new moms and dads. You’ve just made this little creature that can’t take care of itself, has been trying to kill everything, and as soon as it can walk, it’s headed straight for every plug socket and sharp point nearby. So why is it better to have a glass of wine before bed than a glass of wine?

Research shows that many parents of the pandemic switch their wine glasses to e-cigarettes to deal with the extra stress. Although comparing weed to alcohol is tricky, since more research exists on the effects of alcohol, marijuana has been shown to work better overall. It is also generally less harmful to the body and family life than alcohol, which has a lower addiction rate. Alcohol is generally considered more dangerous and has a greater impact on the physical health of parents. Reducing your body’s ability to function will definitely make parenting more tricky. Alcoholism is also more common than marijuana addiction, and those who are in a state of stress or anxiety are more likely to start using alcohol as a crutch rather than a way to relax.

What are the other positive effects of marijuana on parents?

Weed is great for novice and experienced parents for a number of reasons. In the early stages, cannabis can promote healthy and rejuvenating sleep. Although you may need to take turns making sure you don’t all fall asleep when the baby really needs something. Lack of rest can be a serious problem for new parents, which can lead to increased stress and depression, making caring for your little one more difficult. Marijuana is also used to help treat stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems that can become a problem when you have children. If you’re working hard, taking care of the kids, and keeping your partnership alive, it’s easy to end up with too many balls in the air. Smoking, vaping, eating, or whatever at night actually allows you to put everything down for a while and then be ready to pick it all up in the morning. Excessive stress can lead to all sorts of health problems and premature aging that doesn’t make anyone’s life any easier.

Do many parents smoke marijuana?

You’d be surprised the answer is yes. Especially in areas where marijuana is legal, such as Canada. There are plenty of testimonials from Canadian parents who swear by marijuana use, especially when compared to other coping methods. For many of these parents, their age is so normal among their friends and other parents that they don’t think twice about vaping, as most people do with a glass of wine. During the pandemic, marijuana use among parents increased by 52 percent, and 57 percent of parents were asked to reduce or give up drinking in exchange for marijuana use. This attitude is definitely a trend that has been increasing over the past year and is showing signs of becoming the norm in the legal field.

How to be responsible

A lot of people may be worried about smoking with kids, and if you’re babysitting, obviously total waste is not a good idea. The easiest and responsible way is to keep smoking until bedtime. It’s common sense because you can’t really get into a relaxed state when you’re still trying to pull a screaming toddler into their pajamas. If you’re a family with two parents, then probably don’t throw rocks together, just in case there’s an emergency. If you’re a single parent, you may want to smoke at night while others look after them. Keeping your weed out of your child’s reach because they are stupid and will eat anything is an embarrassing hospital visit. Some other obvious tips suggested by Stoner parents on the web are to keep the house clean, not to drive at heights, and to have a good relationship with your neighbors. Stay safe and respectful as you wish to drink.

Hope this gives you a good idea of ??how to be the best Stoner parent you can be. Stay safe, take care of your baby, and try not to lose your mind completely.
