Walmart announced Monday that it will offer employees access to tech company Health at Scale, which includes supplier recommendations based on results, ratings and other metrics.
“Customizing services and treatments to individual needs is the next frontier in healthcare and an important part of Walmart’s commitment to helping employees and their families find great doctors,” Lisa treesWalmart’s vice president of U.S. benefits said in a news release. “We are excited to partner with Health at Scale and are eager to see another innovative edge like this one that will impact employee healthcare experiences and outcomes.”
Health at Scale’s software covers 25 different specialties, as well as 34 procedures and imaging services. The company uses machine learning and artificial intelligence to match patients with providers, treatments and other interventions.
“Finding the right provider is one of the most important health decisions a patient makes. It’s also one of the most difficult decisions,” healthy exist scale CEO Zeshan Said said in a press release.
