Mongolia is an endless prairie, with mysterious Tibetan Buddhist temples and ferocious horse warriors, and is blessed by the eternal Tengri, a folk shaman god. For centuries, the harsh, cold climate of the plains has forced its people to venture to distant worlds in a series of journeys and conquests. Now, blockchain enthusiasts can hear their stories in the following ways Irreplaceable tokens Through the Mongol NFT platform.
Since its establishment in September, the platform has more than 100,000 registered users and nearly 400 creators at all stages of the project. In an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph, Mongol NFT co-founders Gabit Bazar and Adiya Bayansan discussed the future of the project that will (again) push Mongolia to the world stage.
Cointelegraph: Who are the participants on your NFT platform?
Gabit Bazar and Adiya Bayansan: It’s everyone; we have many artists in different fields-they are singers, artists, painters, filmmakers, etc.
CT: On which blockchain is this NFT platform based?
National standard and AB: It is multi-chain. So we have Ethereum, and obviously, we also plan to support Polygon. Next is Solana. Creators will choose; it depends on them.

CT: What are the themes surrounding the artworks in these NFTs?
National standard and AB: We have a 13th century theme, for example, the period of Genghis Khan. Another artist focused on the culture of Tengger and the nomadic grasslands of Central Asia.An artist in Marco Polo [who journeyed east to visit Kublai Khan] Netflix will show and will produce a cartoon NFT on the subject.
CT: So far, how many NFTs have people bought and sold in the past year?
National standard and AB: We only launched it about two months ago, September 17th. We already have about 5,000 drops. Among these 5,000 drops, our sales record is within five seconds.
CT: What is the vision behind the platform?
National standard and AB: It’s simple; every country has a great history, culture and character. […] But not everyone knows what characters are in it. They may know that there are only one or two very famous artists. This is the case in Mongolia. We want to bring its talents to the world stage. We always lag behind the rest of the world by 20 or 30 years. But for NFT and blockchain technology, we all start from exactly the same point.
CT: What is the current status of Mongolia’s adoption of cryptocurrency?
National standard and AB: So currently, we do two things: First, the person who buys NFT can also use the legal Mongolian currency (Tögrög, p. Tugrik) or use the coin we call MNFT. Our partner exchange is Bittrex. So creators can cash out to their exchange, or they can deposit their tugrik into their Mongolian bank account.

CT: What is the roadmap for Mongolia’s NFT in the future?
National standard and AB: So Mongolia NFT is the beginning of the market, and then we evolved into MNFT currency, and we hope to make it a practical tool for people. They will have specific content, but only for MNFT holders. Exclusive video streaming and music streaming are the next step. Because today, even if young artists can upload their songs to Spotify or iTunes, it is difficult for anyone to find it, so it may be difficult to obtain financial benefits. This is why we want to create a Mongolian streaming service powered by MNFT tokens. We want to completely change this industry so that children who are passionate about music can join in, create their NFT, create their music, and people can hear it.
Second, most NFT plans also include the purchase of land on the sandbox, similar to Adidas sneakers. All these big boys got land. Now we are also building Mongolian Valley in our sandbox. So why? Maybe you have heard of our traditional annual wrestling festival called Naadam. Our country’s vision is to bring as many tourists as possible. We will create tourism in the meta universe. They can see art, festivals, go to the market to obtain NFT, and use MNFT coins to make purchases. This is the whole purpose of the Yuan Festival. Any artist can hold an exhibition or concert; we plan to do so as a country. The Mongolian Ministry of Culture also expressed support for our initiative.
