SEPTA officials announced on Friday that the 11th Street station on the Market-Frankford line will be closed this weekend for cleaning.

The station will close at 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and reopen at 5am every day

In the deep cleaning work, workers will use electric cleaning tools to remove rubbish, debris and graffiti in the station.

At night, customers who usually use 11th Street can go to the 13th Street or 8th Street station instead.

This move comes after several successful station cleaning “blitzs” in the past few months and the recent cleaning efforts of transportation services after recovering from the pandemic.
