Japanese tennis superstar Naomi Osaka missed the Tokyo Olympics.

The 23-year-old lost 6-1, 6-4 to former French Open finalist Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic in the third round of the game on Tuesday.

Swim

Alaska has an Olympic swimming champion.

The 17-year-old Lydia Jacoby defeated teammate and defending Olympic champion Lilly King in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke, which allowed the US team to win. Jacoby is the first swimmer in the state to be selected for the U.S. Olympic swimming team.

In 1992, the American man lost his first backstroke in the Olympic swimming pool.

The Russian athletes swept the top two in the 100-meter retreat. Yevgeny Lilov won the gold medal in 51.98 seconds, and teammate Kliment Kolesnikov won the silver medal in 52.00. Defending Olympic champion American Ryan Murphy won the bronze medal at 52.19.

Kaylee McKeown (Kaylee McKeown) awarded another swimming gold medal to the Australian woman.

McKean supported her position as the world record holder for the women’s 100m backstroke with a winning time of 57.47 seconds.

In the men’s 200m freestyle competition held at the Tokyo Aquatic Center, the British team led 1-2.

Tom Dean won the gold medal in 1 minute 44.22 seconds, and teammate Duncan Scott won the silver medal in 1:44.26. The bronze medal was won by Fernando Scheffer of Brazil with a score of 1:44.66.

Triathlon

Flora Duffy won the women’s triathlon in the Olympic Games, won Bermuda’s first Olympic gold medal, and the first medal since 1976.

Duffy is a two-time former World Triathlon Series champion. She is participating in her fourth Olympic Games and is one of only two athletes representing Bermuda in Tokyo.
