‘A little cake’

British team hero Adam Petty revealed that he will celebrate the gold medal with a piece of cake in the 100-meter breaststroke.

After his last victory, Peaty said, it was a piece of cake in itself:

“There are a lot of emotions in it, and I may not fall asleep temporarily.

“I am very excited because I think this is the first British swimmer to defend the title.

“You can do what you want throughout the year, you can do what you want in your own arena, in your own backyard, it doesn’t make any sense.

“It means everything here. I look forward to the relay race and see what we can do out there. I think we can be a very powerful force.

“But I will enjoy the next 24 hours, eat a little cake, a little bit, and then we return to the train to get the best performance.”
