Chula Vista (CNS)-A 43-year-old male motorcyclist collided with a car in Chula Vista on Saturday and was hospitalized with a life-threatening injury.

According to E. Christopher of the Chula Vista Police Department, the accident occurred at around 11:35 on Saturday morning at the intersection of Olympic Park Avenue and Winding Walk Street.

Christopher said that officials and firefighters treated the unconscious man.

The 45-year-old male driver of the other car stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

Drugs and alcohol are not considered factors in the collision.

The Chula Vista Police Department Transportation Department is investigating the accident.
