COVID cases are on the rise, as grim numbers begin to resurface, forcing millions of Britons (including basic workers) to self-isolate.
About 99% of the regions now report an increase in coronavirus cases, with Redcar & Cleveland, Copeland, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Castle Point topping the list.
In addition, the number of deaths from the virus in the UK rose by 96 yesterday-almost twice the number of deaths at this time last week.
Tuesday’s data showed the worst death toll since March, and 46,558 new cases were confirmed.
