Worried that as the plan slows down, young people will not take the initiative to vaccinate

Over the past week, the UK’s vaccination schedule has slowed, raising concerns that young people will not come forward to get vaccinated.

A total of 61,681 Britons received their first injection on Thursday-but this is far below the 152,525 delivered on July 1 two weeks ago.

However, the second dose is still progressing rapidly, with 201,893 doses being distributed on Thursday. More than 35 million Britons have now been double stabbed.

Officials have repeatedly emphasized the importance of vaccination, even for young patients who are not so risky.

But compared with the infection rate, the mortality rate is still very low, because the vaccine can buffer hospitalization and serious illness.

Jabs will be available to children aged 2 and 3 years old, all elementary school students, people 50 years and older, pregnant women, unpaid care workers, and front-line health and adult social care workers on September 31.
