Proof of vaccination at least once two weeks ago can be provided through a copy or photo of the personal vaccination record.

The venue will also require attendees to wait in line digitally-they will be notified when they can enter.

Other safety measures will include reducing daily attendance by half, providing sanitation stations for the public, and enhancing the cleanliness of the entire site. Staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks and undergo a quick test.

The carriage race is not held, and the parade starting Stampede will be confined to the venue without any public viewing.

The world-famous rodeos and fairs are back this year after they were cancelled due to the pandemic last summer.

North Nashville is one of the most popular attractions during the Calgary Stampede and claims to be the greatest outdoor show on earth.

Dr. Hu Jia, a public health doctor who serves as a consultant for the Calgary Stampede, said he believes the event can be held safely.

He said: “We are in a pretty good position in Calgary and Alberta… Our vaccination rate is higher than I thought six or eight months ago.” “We will implement some of the strongest in Alberta. Yamato’s most innovative security protocol.”

He added that some security measures are breaking new ground.

“As far as I know, this must be the first event in Alberta that requires a vaccination certificate or rapid test.”

Laurendo said that tickets have been selling steadily, but there will not be millions of tourists every day, which is the norm before the pandemic. He said that most tourists are probably from western Canada.

Stampede said the proposal includes but is not limited to health care workers, educators, retail and grocery store employees, restaurant workers and construction workers, as well as anyone who provides basic services. Stampede said ID is not required to redeem free tickets.
