North Georgia pickup truck wreck kills 1 and injures 2.
Atlanta, GA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–A pickup truck rollover killed one man and injured two others in Jackson County on Monday. The three victims involved in the truck wreck have been identified as of Tuesday. Two of the victims are from Hall County. The third victim is from Pasco County, Florida. Access North Georgia News reports the automobile accident happened in Commerce on Highway 441. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) troopers say the driver of a pickup truck, pulling a trailer full of mulch, lost control which caused the vehicle to flip over. The driver was a 57 year-old, Flowery Branch man named Israel Contreras-Alvarez. The Hall County driver was unable to control his truck when the trailer began to move back and forth. Jackson County police authorities say the pickup truck rolled over when it left the shoulder of Highway 441 and crashed into a ditch. City of Commerce highway accident investigators shut off one lane of Highway 441 as police leaders tended to the scene.
The driver, Contreras-Alvarez, was pronounced dead at the scene by Jackson County paramedics. Contreras-Alvarez had been somewhat ejected from his vehicle. His passengers were 37 year-old Oscar Vallejo, Jr., from Gainesville, Georgia, and 30 year-old, Israel Contreras-Partida from Dade City, Florida. Commerce area emergency medical services (EMS) personnel took Vallejo and Contreras-Partida to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of their injuries by doctors and nurses. Georgia police detectives have not indicated the extent of their injuries.
