Malta has been moved to the green list for travel-which means we can now vacation there without having to quarantine when we return.
But the popular Mediterranean island has strengthened entry rules for us.
Starting June 30, you must double jab upon arrival to avoid self-isolation.
Children between 5 and 11 years old can enter with their fully vaccinated parents through PCR testing, but children between 12 and 18 years old must be stabbed.
Since we have not yet vaccinated for this age group, this does exclude families with older children.
However, for couples, this is now a very good short-distance holiday option, and there are some cracking deals.

Best for honeymoon
The Taschenk Hotel and Spa on Gozo has such a wonderful view that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie moved in for five months when filming the 2015 romantic drama “The Seaside.”

Best for everything at your doorstep
