BRITNEY Spears spoke out on her father’s controversial conservatorship for the first time since her public breakdown in 2008 but was almost DENIED entry.
As the entertainment icon attempted to break her silence on her ongoing legal matter, the meeting had to break due to “technical difficulties.”
She was almost DENIED entry into her own hearing… as the court clerk claimed they at first “did not recognize” her connection.
The clerk then claimed they were “hesitant” to admit her to the virtual court.
When he did the caller was asked her to ID herself, that’s when she said the line: “oh me? Britney Spears”
The hearing was then called into a break, due to technical difficulties, but those present heard Britney, 39, eerily whisper “it’s not technical difficulties” as the issues resumed.
“Hearing Britney whisper “it’s not technical difficulties” on this live stream after the court agent said, “we’re having technical difficulties” was CHILLING,” someone present wrote.
The pop princess addressed the court by video as her dad, Jamie, and mom, Lynn, also joined in.
Britney is expected to argue against the conservatorship, which was implemented in 2008 after a series of public meltdowns by the singer and prevents Britney from controlling her life or having any access to her million-dollar fortune.

BRITNEY FIGHTS BACK
The singer claimed that the conservatorship from the beginning “makes no sense.”
“I pay people money and they control me. I worked since I was 17-years-old and this conservatorship is abusive.
“I don’t feel I can live a full live. I don’t even believe in therapy. I always thought I could take it to God,” she said.
The singer repeated she wants conservatorship to end and said being hounded by paparazzi and the conservatorship is not protecting her and giving her “no privacy.”
“I want to end the conservatorship and I don’t want to be evaluated as a pre-condition,” she added.
She continued: “It took a year during COVID to get self-care methods.
“Conservator lied and said I could get nothing done. I couldn’t get my nails done… anything. The conservator is now like my dad was… they work for me.”
The Toxic songstress then heartbreakingly explained she’s “scared of people, doesn’t trust people” and she’s “stuck in Westlake where she has no privacy and the paparazzi saw her crying as she left therapy Tuesday.”
She “doesn’t understand” why she can’t do sessions at home, and is upset with Jodi Montgomery, her personal conservator, who she says has become too involved.

WHAT IS A CONSERVATORSHIP?
In 2009, FreeBritney.net was launched in response to her court-approved conservatorship – a form of legal guardianship.

The conservator typically holds the same rights and responsibilities as a parent would over a child.
It is typically enacted for individuals who are incapable of making their own decisions.
In 2008, after Britney was committed to a psychiatric ward, her dad was granted a temporary conservatorship which became permanent by the end of the year.
Lawyer Andrew Wallet was also made a co-conservator to focus on managing her financial assets.
Conservatorships are supposed to protect people who can’t look after themselves – but Britney carried on making albums and going on world tours.

Specifically, fans are calling for Britney to have access to her own lawyer in her case.

“Britney Spears goes through a mental health crisis publicly and she loses her rights. Kanye West goes through a mental health crisis publicly and he runs for president,” one tweeted.

Hayley is fighting for the Free Britney movement which aims to end her father’s controversial control over her finances, business and personal life.
Free Britney campaigner Megan Radford says the claim meant she could be placed in a probate conservatorship, rather than a mental health one which nobody can earn money from.

Jamie declined to comment on the allegations made in the film. But he has previously insisted he is working in her best interests and is dedicated to “protecting her.”
