This walk is part of the “call to action”, which considers three goals, requiring the Biden-Harris administration and the U.S. Congress to “act quickly and boldly to help deported U.S. veterans proudly serve the country.” .

Castro’s so-called “Going Forward: A Parade to Bring Home Our Deported Veterans” is scheduled to begin in San Diego on June 28 and end on August 11 near Brownsville, Texas. He planned to stop along the way and cross the border to visit deported veterans.
