FDNY responds to fiery auto accident at 2 Flushing homes which left driver dead.

Flushing, NY (NewYorkInjuryNews.com)—Early Thursday morning an out of control Toyota Camry became airborne and crashed into two nearby homes, leaving one dead. New York police investigators say the accident happened in the Flushing section of Queens around 12:40 a.m. as reported by ABC New York Local News.

New York Police Department (NYPD) officers claim the unidentified, 21-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on Horace Harding Expressway at a high rate of speed when the fatal accident occurred. NYPD investigators say the Toyota Camry flipped through the air, hurdled over two parked cars, and then came to a stop after the vehicle crashed into the front of a home located on 61st road in Flushing. The impact of the wreck caused the Camry to catch fire, trapping the driver inside. New York firefighters attempted to rescue the driver when the flames spread and caught a neighboring home on fire. Residents of two homes escaped without injury. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
