After the latest genocide attack in apartheid Israel, some serious questions were raised again, namely, the role of resistance and whether the outcome of the war can or cannot be seen as a victory for the Palestinian people. In 2009, 2012, and 2014, when Israel launched large-scale attacks on the Gaza Strip, and even in the non-violent 2018 “Great Return” march, when Palestinians marched toward the wall around the Gaza Strip and were shot and shot by Israel. At the time of the killing, the same question was raised. Sniper.
Some “liberals” resorted to the usual statements, accusing the “two sides of the conflict”, namely the colonizers and the colonized, and concluded that the Palestinians must stop firing rockets from the Gaza Strip.
Once again, we are challenged by the same “neutral” voice regarding the definition of resistance. For ideological reasons, they did not see this kind of resistance. Broadly speaking, it was not only the ability to resist the more powerful oppressors in the military, but also the ability to creatively resist the colonization of their own land. They cannot understand the power of the people. In our case, it is “persistence” (persistence), and they can’t even see its existence.
In other words, they accept Israel’s narrative, where there are “two aspects of conflict” with equal military strength and moral stance. They refused to accept the reality that this was the colonialism and apartheid plan of the Palestinian colonists supported by the Western people. They also ignore all our moral “weapons”: we are the indigenous people of this land, we have the international law that supports our claims, we have the moral commanding heights, and are increasingly supported by international civil society.
Edward Said once said that an intellectual should be “a person who cannot be easily selected by the government or a company. His reason for existence is to represent people and problems that are usually forgotten or wiped out.”
Those “free” voices that condemned Palestine’s “violence” in the recent confrontation with apartheid Israel are anti-intellectual. They refuse to see that Palestinians can become agents of change now and in the future. They could not recognize the Palestinian agency ideologically because they refused to respect the wishes of the people. This was achieved in the general support of various forms of resistance in Gaza, the West Bank and the areas occupied by Israel during the establishment of Palestine in 1948.?Express.
They have not been able to see that Palestine has defeated apartheid Israel in recent events. They fought side by side with the fascist ruling class in Israel, and they believed that they “win” because they killed many “terrorists”: 253 Palestinians, including 66 children, 39 women and 17 elderly people.
However, the so-called “objectives” of Israel’s war on Gaza-eliminating rocket attacks in Gaza, destroying tunnels used by the resistance forces, and covering up any form of unity between Jerusalem and Gaza-have not been achieved. . The rockets are still being launched, and the resistance movement is strong enough to resist the Israeli Israeli impending ethnic cleansing call to action by Sheikh Jarrah Jerusalemites.
Just as a frustrated Israeli pilot blew up the Gaza Strip, he said in an interview on Israel Channel 12: “I carried out an air strike with the feeling that destroying the tower was a way to vent our frustration with what happened to us in Gaza. After the groups in the zone successfully kicked us out… we failed to stop the rocket shooting and injured the leaders of these groups, so we destroyed the tower.
But more importantly, “Gaza 2021” broke the meticulously constructed and enthusiastically defended myth that Israel has been propagating for decades: it has the “most ethical” army in the world; the iron dome is invincible; the Palestinians are just ” “Arabs” have no common identity. Once the older generations die, they will give up their ownership of this land.
Obviously, those “neutral voices” that blame “both parties” belong to the “spell” of these myths, which is why they regard Palestinian resistance as “unreasonable violence” and “terrorism.” But as the Brazilian philosopher Paulo Freire wrote in his book The Pedagogy of the Oppressed:
“With the establishment of oppressive relations, violence has begun. The oppressed have never initiated violence. If they themselves are the result of violence, how can they become the initiator? … If there is no previous violence to establish their obedience status , There will be no oppression. Violence is initiated by oppression, exploitation, and people who fail to recognize others as human beings, not by people who are oppressed, exploited, and unrecognized.”
With the exception of Western liberals and the Israeli elite, everyone else apparently supports the Palestinians’ escape from the historic Palestine protests and their prominence in the violent and victorious attacks in Gaza.
These events ended the notorious “Deal of the Century”, reiterated that the Palestinians will not abandon their demands on Jerusalem, put a nail in the coffin of the fictitious two-state solution, and brought liberation and Israeli rights. Israel’s third-class Palestinian citizens and 5 million refugees have returned to the top of the agenda of the international community. They also made a brand-new Palestinian consciousness stand out, which runs counter to the rigid hegemony of the 1993 Oslo Agreement.
The obvious feature of the new consciousness formed by Palestinian resistance and resistance is the rejection of the conditions imposed by the apartheid system on the Palestinian people, the residents of Gaza and the West Bank, the Palestinians in the Israeli territories occupied in 1948, and the three components of the Palestinian people. Refugee camps and diaspora refugees. More critically, this is a refusal to provide breadcrumbs in order to reward certain few Palestinians for their good behavior.
We were told to accept Israel’s ugliest occupation-apartheid wall, colonies, checkpoints, segregated roads, color-coded number plates, forced evictions and house demolitions, “security coordination”, arrests, torture and Imprisonment – ??or a medieval blockade imposed on us, and bombed regularly into death and oblivion.
But this spring, the answer from Gaza, Jerusalem, Lida, Haifa and other historic Palestines is very clear: The Palestinian people will not be limited to those who lived in the territories occupied in 1967. We are witnessing a shift from the paradigm of separatism represented by the two-state solution, which aims to establish a Palestinian Bantustan and deprive millions of people of their rights to their land, thereby realizing Palestinians’ rights. Fully united.
Indeed, the Palestinians’ victory was costly, but it was a decisive victory. The Palestinian people broke through their “spiritual dome” and defeated the apartheid regime and its “iron dome” made by the United States. Palestine in Gaza after 2021 will no longer be like Palestine. The Palestinians began to separate their minds from the “peace process” and the racist two-state solution, and with their conclusions, they succumbed to the Palestinian Zionist regime.
