How many times has Boris been married?

This is Carrie’s first wedding and Boris’s third wedding. In 1987, he married his first wife Allegra Mostyn-Owen.

The marriage was annulled in 1993, and in the same year he married Marina Wheeler. The couple had four children but separated in 2018.

They officially divorced a few weeks before the news of Boris and Carrie’s engagement.

The only other prime minister in office is Lord Liverpool, who married Mary Chester in 1822. His first wife Luizina (54 years old) passed away last year.

Since Augustus Fitzroy, the third Duke of Grafton, Boris is also considered the first prime minister to leave office.
