According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter (Adam Schefter), the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Jacksonville Jaguars guard Josiah Scott (Josiah Scott). The price is cornerback Jameson Houston (Jackson Houston) and the 2023 sixth-round pick.
Scott is the fourth round rookie of the 2020 Jags (ranked 137th overall). As a rookie, he only participated in 6 games (without starting) and made 11 tackles. According to pro-football-reference.com, he was targeted 7 times, giving up 6 77-yard field goals and 112.5 match-up passers. They let him down with zero mistakes. Obviously, these sample sizes are small.
In his final season at Michigan State University in 2019, Scott had 52 tackles, three INTs, six PBUs and one man who was forced to fall. He has a short stature and wears T-Rex arms, but his speed and strength are good:

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein in Scott’s Scouting Report on the 2020 NFL Draft. Compare Scott and Avonte MaddoxIn his report, it was stated that Scott was “nicknamed “The Gnat” by his teammates because of his disgusting, long-lasting reporting talent and style of play.
This move does not solve the Hawks’ need to provide corner back assistance on the perimeter opposite Darius Slay, but it does give them more positions. The team did not retain Cray during the offseason this season. Von LeBron and Nickel Robbe Coleman. The depth of the Eagles around the corner may now look like this:
Eagle Breaker | 1 piece | 2 pcs | 3 |
Certification body | Darius Slay | Michael Jacquet | Shakial Taylor |
Certification body | Craig James (?) | Zech McPhearson | Kevin Seymour |
Slot CB | Avonte Maddox | Josiah Scott | Laffert Mountain |
The Eagles may not have increased to corner kicks this offseason.
