Ray Didinger is one of Philadelphia’s most beloved and accomplished sports writers. He has a rare balance between his love for the Hawks and his journalistic duties.

This is one of the main themes that the Professional Football Hall of Fame will explore in its forthcoming memoir entitled “Memoirs.” “The completed business: my headlines, heroes and heartaches for fifty years.”

This memoir will explore Didinger’s childhood. Didinger started his career with the Eagles in 1970. He has reported on sports for the “Philadelphia Newsletter” and “Philadelphia Daily”, especially the NFL for 25 years.

His sports writing as he won many honors. Didinger was named Pennsylvania Sports Writer of the Year five times and became the first print journalist to be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame. In the Professional Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, his name has been added to the writer’s honor roll.

Didinger has written or co-authored 11 books on sports and sports writing, including the “Eagle Encyclopedia”.
