Texas Medical Center treats critically injured driver after fatal auto accident.
Houston, TX(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–A head-on motor vehicle collision (MVC) killed one and injured three late Monday afternoon. The Houston Chronicle reports the two-car wreck took place in Coleman County, Texas, in the 12300 block of Texas 6 at 4:30 p.m. Texas highway accident investigators say a Mustang was heading northbound on Texas State Highway 6 when it crossed the center line into southbound traffic. The Mustang collided, head-on with a Honda Civic.
Texas police authorities stated a third vehicle was also involved in the collision. The names of the three drivers are unknown. The driver of the Mustang received serious injuries and was airlifted by emergency medical services (EMS) personnel to Memorial Hermann Hospital at the Texas Medical Center. Coleman County highway fatality detectives say the driver of the Honda was killed upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene by Texas paramedics. His daughters, a three year-old and a fourteen year-old, were transported to a local Voss area hospital for treatment of their injuries. The extent of both girls’ injuries is unknown. The condition of the driver of the third vehicle is also unknown. The highway was closed off for the night while Texas police investigators cleared the scene. Police officials continue to investigate the cause of the two-car automobile accident.
