Philadelphia – A 13-year-old boy who was reported missing several days ago in Philadelphia has been found dead. As reported by WebProNews, the family and friends of Cayman Naib are now mourning his death as authorities investigate the circumstances of his death.

Naib was reportedly found in a shallow area of a creek during a search by the Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue Team. Mark Hopkins, who was a member of the search team, is quoted as stating to NBC10 “It’s difficult, but you want the family to have closure so you can move on in the grieving process and that’s all you can do sometimes… We all wanted a different outcome and this is the outcome we got unfortunately.”

A vigil was held following the discovery of his body. The Delaware County Medical Examiner is working to determine what caused Naib’s death.

Steve Piltch, who is headmaster at the school the teen attended, is quoted as releasing the statement, “We are devastated by the loss of Cayman Naib… he was a terrific kid, who was always willing to help and brought a smile to our faces. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with the Naib family today and always.”
