Virginia – Bob McDonnell, the former Governor of Virginia, provided additional testimony in his corruption trial this week. As reported by Reuters, McDonnell again took the witness stand Monday in his own defense and was cross-examined by prosecutors.

The Republican ex-governor and his wife have been accused of accepting gifts and other items from a dietary supplement entrepreneur in exchange for favors. He has been indicted on 14-counts of federal corruption charges for allegedly promoting the company and dietary supplement product of Jonnie Williams Sr. in exchange for gifts and loans totaling approximately $177,000.

If convicted, McDonnell, who maintains his innocence, and his wife could receive 20 years in prison.
