Florida – Less than two weeks after being acquitted of murder in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman emerged from hiding when he purportedly aided in the rescue of a family trapped in an overturned SUV.
As reported by Good Morning America, Zimmerman, along with another man, helped Dana and Mark Gerstle and their two children get out of their vehicle, which had rolled over in a crash Thursday evening, prior to police arriving on the scene according to a statement by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries were reportedly sustained in the accident.
Attorneys for Zimmerman say he has been the subject of death threats since his acquittal on July 13, purporting that he has resorted to wearing a bullet proof vest when he goes out in public.
