Man Killed in Workplace Accident at Lancaster Printing Plant

Lancaster, PA — An industrial accident at a commercial printing plant in Lancaster city left a mechanic dead. The fatal workplace accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at RR Donnelley & Sons’ 1375 Harrisburg Pike plant, Lancaster online reported.

According to officials, the victim, who was in his 50’s, was killed in an accident that involved a towing motor.

Responding emergency crews arrived at the scene where they pronounced him dead.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

The cause of the accident is under investigation at this time.

A spokeswoman says the company is deeply saddened by the loss and is sending thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Investigations into the deadly accident are underway. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is expected to investigate.
