The contract with the Air Force Civil Engineering Center focuses on using patented technology to fabricate carbon nanostructures for specific applications
FISCHER, IN /ACCESSWIRE / January 26, 2023 / American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:AREC) (“American Resources” or the “Company”), a socially responsible provider of next-generation rare earth and critical elements, carbon and advanced carbon materials, announces that Kenai Defense Company LLC (“Kenai Defense”) has signed an agreement to develop of its exclusive patents with the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (“AFCEC”). Under this contract, Kenai Defense will work with AFCEC to develop applications for the use of carbon nanostructures as a functional concrete additive.
Mark Jensen, CEO of American Resources Corporation, commented, “We are pleased with the solid execution of the growth of our patent portfolio and the recognition by the Department of Defense for the high value applications they are opening up. American Resources and Novusterra’s defense industry partnership with Kenai Defense demonstrates how our technology can benefit not only our shareholders but the strength of our nation. Our team looks forward to supporting the development of this program, which will take place in Utah and West Virginia – the same state where we are building a fully integrated carbon facility combined with rare earth reclamation and advanced carbon materials development operations.”
The patents to be used by Kenai Defense under its AFCEC contract focus on the use of fine-grain carbon waste material that is often discarded or cannot be recovered in the coal reclamation process. This carbon is a very attractive feedstock for this process as it is often considered environmental waste due to its small particle size. This patented technology is able to use this raw material in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner. The patents focus on oxidation and…
