In nuclear reactors, uranium atoms are broken down into fission products (particles), which then trigger chain reactions with other uranium atoms. The energy released in the process generates heat. Ore is not a renewable resource and all nations rely heavily on it for various reasons. From bolstering the nation’s infrastructure to making trinkets or other decorative items, almost immeasurable amounts of ore are processed and ultimately wasted every day.

With less mined ore available every minute, the process of generating nuclear power is being challenged.
