According to the lawsuit, throughout the class period, defendants repeatedly assured investors that the modernization of continuous mining and continuous haulage (“CMCH”) at the Goderich Mine, the world’s largest underground rock salt mine in Ontario, Canada, was proceeding according to plan Significantly reduce costs and increase Compass’ operating results from 2018. Defendants’ statements, however, were misleading because they failed to tell investors that costs at the Goderich mine are increasing rather than decreasing.
