Nio, CATL’s third-largest customer after Tesla, is reducing its reliance on the battery giant to achieve diversification

• XPeng Inc XPEV has diversified its battery suppliers and doesn’t count industry giant CATL among its main suppliers, said Brian Gu, president of the Chinese electric carmaker.
• According to Chinese consulting firm Gaogong Industrial InstituteXPeng was the third largest customer after CATL Tesla Inc TSLA and NIO Inc. NEVER in terms of battery volume installed in 2021.
