The document goes on to say that “These are not even the most dubious comparisons or allegations made by the defendants, as they also equate the deprivation of compliant medical marijuana patients of their Second Amendment rights with the historic disarmament of Catholics and Native Americans seem to be.”

The filing also noted that the DOJ’s parallels “stray too far from the laws in question,” adding that they “try to draw on the historical concept that the government in general has tried to disarm those.” which she considers dangerous”.

The Lawyers requested that the court convene a one-hour oral hearing to discuss these issues.
