NAPLES, Fla., Sept. 06, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Robert Garon pleaded not guilty to a count of animal cruelty this morning in Collier Circuit Court in Naples, according to his attorney Donald P. Day. According to the lawyer, Garon was falsely accused of the death of a puppy he and his girlfriend adopted together less than three months ago.
“Not only is Robert grieving the loss of his much loved pup, but the real culprits are still out there. And in the meantime, we’re destroying an innocent man’s life,” said Garon’s attorney Donald P. Day. “Unfortunately, in this case, the police failed to interview key witnesses.”
“I still can’t believe Buzz Lightyear is gone. And someone abusing a defenseless animal,” said Robert Garon. “This has been a personal nightmare and I look forward to the facts coming out and someone being held accountable for this horrific crime. I lost everything.”
