Recently, Elon Musk complained that Twitter asked him to do it Share documents from anyone who only had a cursory conversation with him. It now turns out that the Twitter, Inc. TWTR made it official and asked the Delaware Chancery Court to assist in obtaining these texts.

Twitter has applied for judges Kathleen McCormick Musk to order and Jared Birchall, who manages the Tesla, Inc. TSLA The CEO’s home office to file texts for the period Jan. 1 to July 8, according to a court document filed by Twitter on Friday.

“Within two (2) calendar days of receipt of this order, Defendants must produce to Plaintiff all text messages in their possession, custody or control sent by Mr Musk and/or Mr Birchall between January 1, 2022 and July were sent or received August 2022, regardless of whether such messages are in response to any of Plaintiff’s requests for documents, except that Defendants may redact personally identifiable information from such messages,” Twitter’s attorney said in the filing.

Twitter has also requested that Musk be made available for deposit within seven calendar days to answer questions about his legal team’s responses.

Musk announced on July 8 his intention to cancel the previously agreed deal to privatize Twitter for $54.20 per share. The billionaire claimed that Twitter may be grossly underestimating the number of bot accounts. The social media platform responded to the scuttled deal by filing a lawsuit to enforce the agreement, which will come up for hearing on October 17.

Twitter’s attorneys allege that Musk did not act in good faith by not providing the text in the pre-trial information exchange. On the other hand, Musk’s lawyer Alex Spiro Bloomberg reportedly said it was Twitter that withheld information and witnesses and that the latest development was the company’s attempt to cover up its own mistakes.
