Livonia-based Trinity Health announced Wednesday that it will rebrand all of its Michigan operations under the Trinity Health name in Michigan.
The name change will affect all eight Trinity hospitals in the state, including St. Joseph’s Mercy Health System in Metro Detroit and Mercy Health on the west side of the state, as well as medical groups IHA and Mercy Health Physician Partners. Trinity’s 22 senior living communities and other entities will also be renamed, the health system announced in a press release.
“As a member of Trinity Health for 22 years, we are transforming our identity to maintain our position as one of the largest health care systems in Michigan and committed to putting our patients at the center of everything we do,” President and Rob Casalou, president of Trinity Health Michigan and CEO of the Southeast region, said in a release. “We are peeling back layers to reveal a unified organization with a shared legacy and mission to serve the communities we are honored to serve.”
Trinity Health is one of the largest Catholic hospital systems in the United States, operating in 25 states and employing more than 115,000 people.
