Patient readers, the title of this article is not a Lambertian light sarcasm, alluding to a Collapse of the Roman Empire (Written – I just found out about this today, think about it – author Stephen Sondheim). Instead, I think after the bad news, malicious multi-course extravaganza… well, I’m at a loss, let’s take a look at the algorithm–

– but I don’t have bad kids in my life, that’s great! Better than expected! “Multi-course extravaganza,” I said, needing mouth cleaner“a neutral-flavored food or drink that removes food residue from the tongue and allows people to more accurately assess a new flavor” (no doubt nonsense, since realism is timeless).

It occurred to me that jokes, whether in single lines or sketches, are such a tool for cleaning up residue. return, Laughter is good for stress and the immune system. So I rounded up some humor. I hope the jokes don’t blow up, and I hope you’ll be contributing whether they do or not!

Start with the bartender’s joke:

One bartender said: “We don’t serve time travelers here!”

A time traveler walks into a bar.

Exchange at the pet store:

If there’s a comedy vertical on Twitter with plenty of jokes, I don’t find it:

Children find children’s jokes funny:

Another kid’s joke, but a big kid:

NFTs are adjacent, somehow so horribly commoditized…

Turning to stand-up and video, more one-liners:

There are a lot of duck jokes, here’s Mitch Hedberg’s:

A generation real Was looking for some Phyllis Diller but couldn’t find the right one:

“Mother Teresa’s old dress!” 1984. End of the year The second wave of feminism.

Bob Newhard, Light as Souffle:

Not all comedy is easy:

I wonder if these jokes will land today. They are very Freudian, very 50’s. Maybe the family has completely changed?

Louis CK on race relations. Oh my, punchline:

although Louis CK can we say unorthodox Disgusting and creepy take on social capital accumulation from dissenting colleagues from his field, I still think it’s a great sketch, worth more than anything his critics can make. (Sadly, great artists aren’t always good people.) “Give them some time to get cranky” is something I can keep in mind (rather than kicking sideways or down).

Richard Pryor [a bit NSFW]:

Mud bones are a recurring pryor character. Oddly, Mudbone’s accent reminded Bert and I:

And ending on the driest note, a new episode of Bob and Ray’s “Fancy Summit” surfaced:

I hope your palate is at least refreshed, if not cleaned. This is naked capitalism, and we probably have some stand-up comedians in our readership; if so, I wonder what you all think. I tend to think that comedy and humor are timeless. But doing this aggregation, the material from my teenage years to today, has really taught me how the comedy of time is embedded in the comedy of time. If there is a good history of comedy, I should read it. “Just kidding!” Well, yes.

Anyway, the main purpose of this post is to give readers some laughs, and if any of you laugh, I’m glad. Also, feel free to add jokes and sketches in the comments!
