The 8-acre, 32,000-square-foot project will add a surgical department, occupational and speech therapy, expand diagnostic imaging, and modernize and expand existing services including primary and walk-in care, emergency, inpatient, skilled nursing, laboratory , radiology, physical therapy and mental health.

To fund the construction of the project, the medical center is seeking approval for up to $19 million in new property taxes for the upcoming election, the article said.
