Former NBA player and 2021 Hall of Famer Ben Wallace is launching a new brand of cannabis products.
The Detroit Pistons legend named the brand Undrafted in honor of his unique status as the NBA’s first inductee into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Undrafted’s product line will offer cannabis flowers, pre-rolls and vape cartridges, with future products to be announced. Wallace is working with Michigan-based cannabis company Rair to facilitate the launch. Detroit-based advertising agency, Atomic Honeyrepresenting Rair and Ben Wallace, and developed the logo and packaging design for Undrafted.

Wallace seemed ideal to form his own cannabis line because he Benefit from the plant’s anti-inflammatory effects In his 16-year professional basketball career, the aftermath of years of pain and suffering from injuries.

Good friendship is Rair
Rair currently has four dispensary locations across the state — a fifth opened in Kalamazoo on April 20 — and is the only aeroponically grown cannabis company in Michigan. Aeroponic growing is a method of growing plants in an air or mist environment, rather than in soil or aggregate media. This method uses fewer resources but grows faster, with healthier plants and larger harvests. It also greatly reduces the chance of contamination, while allowing real-time adjustments to planting recipes.
“Our partnership with Rair came about so organically,” Wallace said. “I believe the marriage between our two brands automatically sets us apart from any other cannabis product line. Rair products are of the highest quality and I’m excited to be working with them on Undrafted, Because I am confident that this brand will excel. ”
The joint venture will be the first time Rair has partnered with an outside supplier, but CEO Kevin McFadden believes in Wallace’s approach.
