IDIH Week 2022 starts this coming Monday! It is a 4-day FREE online event hosted by Catalyst & our partner organizations that is dedicated to researchers, innovators, care providers and users associations dealing with Digital Health for Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA). IDIH Week is a unique occasion for R&I stakeholders from the US, Europe, and beyond to explore opportunities for international cooperation in the field of Digital Health for Active and Healthy Ageing, through information, networking and co-creation sessions that will be held between March 21 and March 24.
The team at Catalyst will be running a US Regional Workshop on Monday from 12pm ET/9am PT – 2pm ET/11am PT. The Workshop, titled The Impact of COVID-19 on the Shared Priorities for International Cooperation in Active and Healthy Ageing, aims to bring a US perspective to the findings of the IDIH Digital Health Transformation Forum around the areas of data governance, interoperability by design, and digital inclusion, and how these have been impacted by COVID-19. Panelists for the workshop are author, healthcare journalist, educator, and activist Nancy B. Finnhealth lawyer and privacy expert Deven McGraw, innovation consultant and digital health strategist Iana Simeonovspecialist in media and gerontology Mandy Salomonand smart home and aging expert George Demiris. Catalyst’s Indu Subaiya & Matthew Holt will be moderating the discussion.

As part of the activities of the European project IDIH – International Digital Health Cooperation for Preventive, Integrated, Independent and Inclusive Livingthe IDIH Week 2022 will be a 4 day online international event dedicated to researchers, innovators, care providers and users associations dealing with Digital Health for Active and Healthy Ageing (AHA).
This second edition of the IDIH Week will be an occasion to present and discuss the project’s findings and products, as well as to engage the IDIH community of experts – now counting more than 300 stakeholders gathered in the platform – in networking and open innovation sessions around Digital Health for AHA at the international level. A key novelty of this 2022 edition will be 2 Regional Workshops dedicated to the R&I landscape around Digital Health & Ageing, respectively in USA and Japan.
INFO DAY (March 21, 9.00 – 11.00 CET) This Info Day is dedicated to the IDIH findings and products, as well as to IDIH progress towards sustainability. It will also highlight current opportunities for international cooperation in the field of Digital Health for Active and Healthy Ageing.
US REGIONAL WORKSHOP (March 21, 17.00 – 19.00 CET)This workshop is dedicated to the US landscape of R&I around Digital Health for AHA. It will focus on how COVID has impacted independent and connected living of the older persons with the perspective of start-ups, investors, and the patients themselves. A session will be dedicated to Q&A with the audience.
PARTNERING DAYS (March 22, 9.00 – 11.00 CET/March 23, 15.00 – 17.00 CET)These partnering days (dedicated to Asian and American stakeholders, respectively) have been dedicated to the presentation – through a short pitch – of the project ideas and the expertise of organizations working in the field of Digital Health for AHA.
JAPAN REGIONAL WORKSHOP (March 23, 9.00 – 11.00 CET)A panel discussion (in Japanese with English subtitles) will be held with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication, in charge of HORIZON 2020 in Japan, and some key players in the R&I landscape in Japan. A session will be dedicated to Q&A with the audience.
INNOVATION DAY (March 24, 9.00 – 11.00 CET & 15.00 – 17.00 CET)IDIH Experts will present their works and results within the IDIH Digital Health Transformation Forum as part of 2 sessions – a public open discussion and a co-creation space which will be held with the participation of a panel of key sector players from IDIH Strategic Partner Countries.
