George Washington University Law School is a key component of the university’s new and extensive Equity Institute initiative focused on promoting racial and socioeconomic justice through community research partnerships.

Dayna Bowen Matthew, dean and Harold H. Greene Professor of Law at George Washington law school, previously served as co-founder and inaugural director of The Equity Center at the University of Virginia School of Law. When she became dean of GW Law in August 2020, she brought the idea with her.
