Atrium Health Pineville in Pineville, NC opened a new bed tower called Palmetto Tower on its Pineville campus.

The eight-story, 236,000-square-foot patient tower increases capacity from 262 to 307 beds. Patient rooms are designed to transition between different levels of care, including acute care, intensive care, and rehabilitation. The top two floors of the tower are shell space for future expansion.

DLR Group (Omaha, Neb.) provided architecture, engineering, interiors, and planning services on the project.
